Association of Hong Kong Flag-Guards Limited
二零零二年七月一日，香港升旗隊總會正式成立。本會以推廣學校及團體的升旗文化，讓學生及社會大眾通過親身參與，認識國家、關心國家，增強對國民身分的認同。凡認同本會宗旨，履行會員義務，關心國家的人士，均可經正常程序成為本會會員。
本會在二零零二年九月初開始招募會員，短短三星期內，已有超過一百所中小學校報名成立升旗隊，反映香港學校對升掛國旗及進行升旗禮的殷切。九月十四日 本會舉行了「第一期升旗隊成立典禮暨訓練班」，參與的師生超過六百人，反應非常熱烈。各校均希望在每年國慶節能在學校進行升旗典禮，屆時必可令學生印象難 忘。成立典禮上，主禮嘉賓致辭時大力肯定在學校升掛國旗的重要，這為前線教師提供了重大的支持。
