Serving over 750 children annually with challenges of a wide spectrum of varying degrees including autism spectrum disorders, learning difficulties, global developmental delays, Downs Syndrome, cerebral palsy and hyperactivity, we aim at helping SEN children to fulfil their potential at their earliest possible age and preparing them for entry into the mainstream school system. EducationHealthThe Sports Association for the Physically Disabled of Hong Kong, China (the Association), previously named the Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled (HKPC&SAPD), was established in 1972 under the leadership of Founding President Prof. Sir Harry Fang and a group of rehabilitation enthusiasts. The Association plans, organizes, develops and promotes sports to the physically impaired so they could enjoy fun of sports and lead a healthy lifestyle. The Association was segregated into two separate and independent entities, namely “The Hong Kong Paralympic Committee (HKPC)” and “The Hong Kong Sports Association for the Physically Disabled (HKSAPD)” in 2022. The newly established HKPC takes over the promotion of local Paralympic Movement and the role as the NPC whereas HKSAPD, as a multi-sport national sports association, continues to develop and promote Para sports, and enable local Para athletes to achieve sporting excellence.

SARDA adopts medical psycho-social counselling model, endeavours to provide free and diversified drug treatment and rehabilitation services to all drug abusers on a voluntary basis, regardless of age, gender, race and religion. SARDA comprises four residential drug treatment and rehabilitation centres, four social service centres and five halfway houses, which provide drug rehabilitation service. In addition, SARDA joins hands with Department of Health to provide counselling services in all methadone clinics. SARDA has gained numerous awards and recognition from the society.

People's Participation SoCO believes that the foundation of a solid democratic system and a fair society is through the participation of the people in the decision-making process of the government. Throughout the years, SoCO has introduced a series of civic education programs to cultivate a sense of direction and political responsibility in the community and grassroots organizations. The aim is to consolidate civic power. A Caring Society It is also our belief that to build a society respecting human rights, reasonable social policies including housing, medical and retirement schemes should be introduced to achieve a redistribution of resources. To achieve this, strong social actions based on mass mobilization are called for. 2. SoCO pioneers efforts to mobilize the grassroots people to accomplish community organization among the citizens of Hong Kong. The aim is to establish a real power base for the people to protect their civil, political, economic and social rights. SoCO strives for greater social justice, equality and democracy through the different campaigns. The basic philosophy of empowering the people for structural changes is the firm adherence to the community approach in solving social problems based on the results of policy analysis and empirical research.
