很清楚，天主要我們耕種，要我們生活在自然環境中，但問題是怎樣去做。現代人有幾多是會自己務農耕種的？我們將此任務托付給大財團、跨國企業去做，將自已困在高消費、高科技的生活模式中，追逐紙上富貴。缺乏同大自然互動，就很難理解自己的行為怎樣傷害到它。最後被小撮既得利益者所控制，種出來的食物不論基改或有農毒，全部要吃下肚，無得選擇!
天主教永續樂田園的宗旨是透過人與大地的互動，學習欣賞及體會天主創造的奧妙，加強愛主愛人愛大地的意識和實踐。
